Customization Example

Example1. Disallow general users to create groups

In this example, group creation authority which is set for the general users is changed to [Prohibited],
and general users are disallowed to create groups.
  1. Before Authority Setting (log-in as authenticated user)

    Before the authority change is made, [Creat Group] item is displayed in GroupBox of Menu, and new group can be created.

  2. Log in as a user who can display Authorization Setting Screen such as tenant administrator.

  3. On the authorization setting (IMBox) screen, click the intersection cell of [Create Group] row and [Authenticated Users] column, and set [Prohibit].

    Policy Change

  4. After Authority Setting (log-in as authenticated user)

    [Create Group] link in the Menu and [Create New Group]link on the Group Screen and Owner Group Screen will no longer be displayed, and general users cannot create groups.

    No Authority

Example2. Allow users who have IMBox operations administor role to edit groups

In this example, group editing authority for IMBox operations administrator role is changed to [Permitted],
and setting is made to allow users who have IMBox operations administrator role to edit groups.
  1. Before Authority Setting (log-in as users for whom IMBox operations administrator role is specified)

    Before the authority is changed, [View Group Setting] link is displayed on the lower right of Group Information Gadget, and only the view of group setting is allowed.

    No Authority

  2. Log in as a user who can display Authorization Setting Screen such as tenant administrator.

  3. On the authorization setting (IMBox) screen, click the intersection cell of [Group Edit] row and [IMBox Operations Administrator] column, and set [Permitted].

  4. After Authority Setting (log-in as users for whom IMBox operations administrator role is specified)

    [View Group Setting] link in the Group Information Gadget is changed to [Change Group Setting] link, and group edit is allowed.

Example3. Allow users who have IMBox operations administrator role to delete messages

In this example, message delete authority for IMBox operations administrator role is changed to [Permitted],
and setting is made to allow users who have IMBox operations administrator role to delete messages.
  1. Before Authority Setting (log-in by specifying user (aoyagi) as IMBox operations administrator)

    Before the authority is changed, even the users who have IMBox operations administrator role cannot delete the messages of other users.

    No Authority

  2. Log in as a user who can display Authorization Setting Screen such as tenant administrator.

  3. On the authorization setting (IMBox) screen, click the intersection cell of [Message Delete] row and [IMBox Operations Administrator] column, and set [Permitted].

    Policy Change

  4. After Authority Setting (log-in by specifying user (aoyagi) as IMBox operations administrator)

    {Delete] is displayed in the [More] menu of the message posted by another user, and you can delete te message of the other user.

Example4. Allow users who have IMBox operations administrator role to delete all tags

In this example, tag delete authority for IMBox operations administrator role is changed to [Permitted],
and setting is made to allow users who have IMBox operations administrator role to delete all tags.
  1. Before Authority Setting (log-in by specifying user (aoyagi) as IMBox operations administrator)

    Before the authority is changed, even the users who have IMBox operations administrator role cannot delete tags created by other users,
    or cannot delete tags that are attached to one or more threads.
    No Authority

  2. Log in as a user who can display Authorization Setting Screen such as tenant administrator.

  3. On the authorization setting (IMBox) screen, click the intersection cell of [Tag Delete] row and [IMBox Operations Administrator] column, and set [Permitted].

  4. After Authority Setting (log-in by specifying user (aoyagi) as IMBox operations administrator)

    Since you have the tag delete authority, you can delete all tags or remove tag attachment.

Example5. Allow general users to post broadcast messages

In this example, broadcast message posting authority for general users is changed to [Permitted],
and setting is made to allow general users to post broadcast messages.
  1. Before Authority Setting (log-in as authenticated user)

    Before the authority is changed, [Broadcast] is not displayed in the select box of posting destination in the message posting field of MyBox timeline.

  2. Log in as a user who can display Authorization Setting Screen such as tenant administrator.

  3. On the authorization setting (IMBox) screen, click the intersection cell of [Broadcast Posting] row and [Authenticated Users] column, and set [Permitted].

    Policy Change

  4. After Authority Setting (log-in as authenticated user)

    [Broadcast] is displayed in the select box of posting destination in the message posting field of MyBox timeline, and broadcast message caan be displayed.
